The 2024 Royal Agricultural Exhibition in Pietermaritzburg will proudly host the Ile de France Regional Championship on Saturday 25 May 2024. This event will be judged by senior judge Clark Rattray, with Jonathan Tyler assisting as junior judge.

Calling all Dormer breeders! The 2024 Royal Agricultural Exhibition in Pietermaritzburg will proudly host the Dormer National Championship on Monday 27 May 2024, together with Dormer SA.

Who would have guessed, over 100 years ago, that an exhibitor at the Royal Show in Pietermaritzburg would ultimately be responsible for starting an industry that has seen South Africa become the world’s third-largest pecan producer after the United States and Mexico?

Planning has now commenced for next year’s event, the hosting of a Royal Agricultural Exhibition, focused on livestock competitions and agrarian-related exhibits, from 24-29 May 2024.

The cattle section will be a hive of activity at the Royal Show this year, with some very large and exciting entries for the various competitions and showings.

On Monday 29 May, the Royal Agricultural Society will be hosting the AAM Veld Heifer Competition, sponsored by AAM Cattle Agents and Auctioneers, at the Royal Show 2023.

The KZN Youth Show, one of the oldest in the country, has become an integral part of the Royal Show. This year the Youth Show marks its momentous 40th anniversary.

Students and staff members from the Grootfontein Student Angora Stud will be bringing their prize-winning Angora goats back to the Sheep & Wool Expo at the Royal Show this year.

The interactive Sheep & Wool Expo is a firm favourite with all age groups, and was a worthy winner of the RAS President’s Trophy for special endeavour last year.
